Well, it is easier to read one line of code than 10000 lines.

You are right that abusing on operator overloading and stuff like that is not easy code, but you can abuse in almost every language.

For me Kotlin is way easier and faster (for writing code).

Last but not least , keep in mind that most of the latest Java features are not available on Android.
